Representing the 306th Bomb Group

While attending the Atlanta Warbird Weekend yesterday with her family, my niece Kathy promoted the 306th Bomb Group by wearing her 306th hat.

The event was dedicated to the remembrance and celebration of the men, women, and machines of the Greatest Generation. Of course, the highlight of the event was  The Commemorative Air Force’s Boeing B-17G Flying Fortress Sentimental Journey. The Commemorative Air Force (CAF) is a no-profit organization dedicated to preserving and showing historical aircraft at airshows. As usual, cockpit tours and flights were available in the B-17 and other aircraft, including a P-51 Mustang and SBD Dauntless dive bomber.

Kathy also promoted my book, SHOT DOWN, by taking a picture of a couple of CAF volunteers with their own camera holding a copy of my book!

I say well done!
